Illinois High School Volleyball - Agape Christian tips New Athens
October 7, 2023: New Athens, IL 62264 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Agape Christian Knights (Energy, IL) and the host New Athens Yellow Jackets (New Athens, IL), saw Agape Christian's volleyball squad nip New Athens by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Agape Christian upgrades its record to 20-6 on the year. The Knights travel to Cairo (Cairo, IL) to play the Pilots in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 7. The Pilots go into the bout with a record of 4-8. Cairo lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Meridian (Mounds, IL)
The Yellow Jackets now own a 5-18 record. They play next when they travel to Herrin for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 7. New Athens will play a Tigers squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Massac County (Metropolis, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 12-7.
