October 7, 2023: Piasa, IL 62079 Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Bunker Hill Minutemen (Bunker Hill, IL), 2-0 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Piasa Birds battle the Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL) in a non-league match, on Saturday, October 7. Southwestern will attempt to advance on its 2-24 season record. The Miners come into the match with a 8-13 record after their 2-1 league win over Vandalia (Vandalia, IL).
With the loss, Bunker Hill drops to 1-21 on the campaign. The Minutemen travel to Mulberry Grove (Mulberry Grove, IL) to battle the Aces in a non-league match on Tuesday, October 10. The Aces come into the match with a record of 9-11. Mulberry Grove lost 2-0 in their recent league match against Brownstown/St. Elmo (St. Elmo, IL)
