New York High School Volleyball - Cornwall Central over St. John the Baptist
October 7, 2023: West Islip, NY 11795 The Cornwall Central Dragons (New Windsor, NY) volleyball overcame the host St. John the Baptist Cougars (West Islip, NY), 2-0 in Saturday's league outing.
With the win, Cornwall Central upgrades its record to 29-7 on the year. The Dragons travel to Shenendehowa (Clifton Park, NY) to play the Plainsmen in a non-league outing on Saturday, October 7. The Plainsmen go into the outing with a record of 25-4. Shenendehowa won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Ballston Spa (Ballston Spa, NY)
The Cougars now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Our Lady of Mercy Academy for a Catholic outing on Tuesday, October 10. St. John the Baptist will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Kellenberg Memorial (Uniondale, NY). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-3.
