Pennsylvania High School Soccer - Central Columbia knocks off Shamokin Area
October 7, 2024: Coal Township, PA 17866 The Central Columbia Bluejays soccer squad scored 6 points and held the host Shamokin Area Indians to 2 in the Bluejays league victory on Monday.
The Bluejays now possess a 14-2 record. They play next when they host Berwick for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 12. Central Columbia will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 7-1 league loss to Wyoming Seminary College Prep (Kingston, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-12.
With the loss, Shamokin Area moves to 4-11 on the year. The Indians travel to Warrior Run (Turbotville, PA) to play the Defenders in a PIAA District IV-AA bout on Wednesday, October 9. The Defenders go into the bout with a record of 9-5. Warrior Run lost 1-0 in their recent league bout against Southern Columbia Area (Catawissa, PA)
