Illinois High School Soccer - Urbana University knocks off Mattoon
October 7, 2024: Mattoon, IL 61938 Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Urbana University Illineks (Urbana, IL) and the host Mattoon Greenwave (Mattoon, IL), saw Urbana University's soccer squad triumph over Mattoon by a score of 9-1.
The Illineks (15-6) will now prepare for their battle against Cornerstone Christian (Bloomington, IL). The Cyclones enter the East Central Illinois battle with a 7-11 record. In their last battle, Cornerstone Christian ran past Monticello (Monticello, IL), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
