October 7, 2024: Great Mills, MD 20634 Fans at Monday's league contest between the Huntingtown Hurricanes (Huntingtown, MD) and the host Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD), observed Huntingtown's volleyball team top Great Mills by a count of 3-0.
The Hurricanes (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against La Plata (La Plata, MD). The Warriors enter the Southern Maryland contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, La Plata was knocked off by McDonough (Pomfret, MD), 3-1, in a league contest.
Next, the Hornets battle the Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD) in a Southern Maryland contest, on Wednesday, October 9. Great Mills will attempt to move on its 5-3 season record. The Panthers enter the contest with a 4-5 record after their 3-1 league loss to Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD).
