West Virginia High School Soccer - Braxton County knocks off Pocahontas County
October 7, 2025: Sutton, WV 26601 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Braxton County Eagles (Sutton, WV) and the visiting Pocahontas County Warriors (Dunmore, WV), saw Braxton County's soccer squad triumph over Pocahontas County by a count of 6-0.
The Eagles (18-0) will now prepare for their battle against Williamstown (Williamstown, WV). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league battle with a 13-2 record. In their last match, Williamstown nipped Wood County Christian (Williamstown, WV), 1-0, in a non-league match.
The Warriors now sport a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Midland Trail for a non-league match on Thursday, October 9. Pocahontas County will meet a Patriots team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Webster County (Upper Glade, WV). The Patriots record now stands at 3-10.
