West Virginia High School Soccer - Elkins knocks off Moorefield
October 7, 2025: Elkins, WV 26241 In Tuesday's non-league test, the host Elkins Tigers soccer team scored a close 4-0 triumph over the Moorefield Yellow Jackets.
With the triumph, Elkins advances its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV) to clash with the Buccaneers in a Big Ten test on Thursday, October 9. The Buccaneers come into the test with a record of 6-10. Buckhannon-Upshur won 6-5 in their recent league test against Lewis County (Weston, WV)
The Yellow Jackets now have a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Keyser for a Potomac Valley bout on Thursday, October 9. Moorefield will play a Golden Tornado squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Hampshire (Romney, WV). The Golden Tornado record now stands at 3-10.
