Kansas High School Soccer - New Heights Christian Academy nudged by Pittsburg
October 7, 2025: Pittsburg, KS 66762 Pittsburg Dragons (Pittsburg, KS) fans were in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their soccer squad nudge the visiting New Heights Christian Academy Cougars (Joplin, MO), 3-2 in a non-league bout.
The Dragons now possess a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Fort Scott for a Southeast Kansas bout on Wednesday, October 8. Pittsburg will play a Tigers squad coming off a 4-4 league Parsons (Parsons, KS). The Tigers record now stands at 0-9.
With the loss, New Heights Christian Academy moves to 2-16 on the year. The Cougars travel to Jefferson Independent Day (Joplin, MO) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 14. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Jefferson Independent Day lost 5-4 in their recent non-league game against Cassville (Cassville, MO)
