Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, NE) and the visiting Conestoga Cougars (Murray, NE), observed Johnson County Central's volleyball team top Conestoga by a count of 3-0.

The Thunderbirds (22-0) will now prepare for their battle against Auburn (Auburn, NE). The Bulldogs go into the C1 District 3 battle with a 13-9 record. In their last battle, Auburn achieved victory over Lourdes Central Catholic (Nebraska City, NE), 3-2, in a non-league battle.

The Cougars now own a 13-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Falls City for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 9. Conestoga will meet a Tigers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Exeter-Milligan/Friend (Exeter, NE). The Tigers record now stands at 9-11.
