Dawson Eagles (Pearland, TX) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Alief Taylor Lions (Houston, TX), 40-23 in a league test.

With the triumph, Dawson improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Strake Jesuit (Houston, TX) to confront the Fighting Crusaders in a 6A Region III District 23 test on Friday, October 15. The Fighting Crusaders come into the test with a record of 2-4. Strake Jesuit lost 35-20 in their recent league test against Shadow Creek (Pearland, TX)

With the loss, Alief Taylor drops to 3-3 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Pearland (Pearland, TX) to confront the Oilers in a 6A Region III District 23 test on Friday, October 15. The Oilers come into the test with a record of 4-2. Pearland won 42-6 in their recent league test against Alief Elsik (Houston, TX)
