In their next game, the Sailors face the Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougars (Sumner, IA) in a 1A District 4 bout, on Friday, October 15. Columbus will attempt to advance on its 5-2 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 1-6 record after their 28-0 league loss to Beckman (Dyersville, IA).
The Pirates (0-7) will now prepare for their bout against Cascade (Cascade, IA). The Cougars enter the 1A District 4 bout with a 3-4 record. In their last game, Cascade was tipped by MFL MarMac (Monona, IA), 44-26, in a league game.
