Alabama High School Football - Houston County drops to Geneva County
October 8, 2021: Columbia, AL 36319 In Friday's league game, the Geneva County Bulldogs (Hartford, AL) football team knocked off the host Houston County Lions (Columbia, AL), by a final score of 40-21.
The Bulldogs (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Long (Skipperville, AL). The Rebels go into the 2A Region 2 contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Long topped Cottonwood (Cottonwood, AL), 38-12, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Lions play the Abbeville Yellowjackets (Abbeville, AL) in a 2A Region 2 contest, on Friday, October 15. Houston County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the contest with a 1-5 record after their 82-14 league loss to Elba (Elba, AL).
