In Friday's non-league game, the Prairie View Buffaloes (La Cygne, KS) football team tipped the host Iola Mustangs (Iola, KS), by a final score of 23-20.

The Buffaloes (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Frontenac (Frontenac, KS). The Raiders come into the non-league game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Frontenac got by Anderson County (Garnett, KS), 49-14, in a non-league game.

The Mustangs now hold a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Girard for a non-league game on Friday, October 15. Iola will battle a Trojans team coming off a 28-0 league win over Burlington (Burlington, KS). The Trojans record now stands at 6-0.
