California High School Flag Football - La Costa Canyon can't hold off Mission Hills
October 8, 2024: San Marcos, CA 92069 Mission Hills Grizzlies (San Marcos, CA) fans went home in high spirits Tuesday as they saw their flag football team tip the visiting La Costa Canyon Mavericks (Carlsbad, CA), 18-12 in a league battle.
With the win, Mission Hills improves its record to 6-2 on the season. The Grizzlies travel to Tri-City Christian (Vista, CA) to play the Eagles in a non-league battle on Thursday, October 10. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 8-2. Tri-City Christian lost 48-6 in their recent non-league battle against Classical Academy (Escondido, CA)
The Mavericks now have a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to El Camino for a Avocado battle on Tuesday, October 15. La Costa Canyon will play a Wildcats team coming off a 26-6 non-league loss to Del Norte (San Diego, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-5.
