New Jersey High School Soccer - Sparta knocks off Vernon
October 9, 2023: Sparta, NJ 07871 Sparta Spartans (Sparta, NJ) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Vernon Vikings (Vernon, NJ), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Spartans confront the Caldwell Chiefs (West Caldwell, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 9. Sparta will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record. The Chiefs enter the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 4-2 league win over Newark Academy (Livingston, NJ).
The Vikings now have a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Warren Hills Regional for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, October 11. Vernon will confront a Blue Streaks team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Hopatcong (Hopatcong, NJ). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 6-3.
