Texas High School Football - Alice loses to Pioneer

October 9, 2025: Alice, TX 78332

Pioneer Diamondbacks (Mission, TX) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Alice Coyotes (Alice, TX), 31-14 in a league battle.

With the win, Pioneer advances its record to 5-2 on the season. The Diamondbacks host Roma (Roma, TX) to play the Gladiators in a 5A-2 Region IV District 15 battle on Friday, October 17. The Gladiators go into the battle with a record of 4-2. Roma won 14-7 in their recent non-league battle against Port Isabel (Port Isabel, TX)

The Coyotes now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Sharyland for a 5A-2 Region IV District 15 battle on Thursday, October 16. Alice will play a Rattlers team coming off a 28-16 league loss to Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX). The Rattlers record now stands at 4-3.
