The Argyle Eagles football squad scored 41 points and limited the host Seguin Cougars to 24 in the Eagles league triumph on Thursday.

The Eagles now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Mansfield Summit for a 5A-2 Region I District 3 outing on Friday, October 17. Argyle will clash with a Jaguars squad coming off a 39-29 league win over Mansfield Timberview (Arlington, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 5-1.

With the defeat, Seguin drops to 5-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Colleyville Heritage (Colleyville, TX) to clash with the Panthers in a 5A-2 Region I District 3 game on Friday, October 17. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 3-3. Colleyville Heritage won 40-14 in their recent league game against Everman (Everman, TX)
