The East Union Urchins football squad scored 40 points and limited the host Bruce Trojans to 34 in the Urchins league triumph on Thursday.

The Urchins now sport a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Strayhorn for a 2A Region 2 challenge on Friday, October 17. East Union will face a Mustangs team coming off a 48-0 league loss to Myrtle (Myrtle, MS). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-5.

The Trojans (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Palmer (Marks, MS). The Dragons enter the non-league challenge with a 0-7 record. In their last challenge, Palmer was edged by North Side (Shelby, MS), 50-0, in a league outing.
