The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Kopperl Eagles (Kopperl, TX) and the host Hill County Wolves (Hillsboro, TX), witnessed Kopperl's football squad knock off Hill County by a count of 68-51.

The Eagles (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Three Way (Stephenville, TX). The enter the 1A 6 Man 2 Region III District 11 (6 Man) contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Three Way was outscored by Bluff Dale (Bluff Dale, TX), 34-29, in a league contest.

Next up, the Wolves encounter the Westlake Academy Blacksmiths (Westlake, TX) in a TAIAO Division 1 - North (6 Man) battle, on Friday, October 17. Hill County will attempt to advance on its 1-6 season record. The Blacksmiths go into the battle with a 4-1 record after their 72-22 league win over Tyler HEAT (Tyler, TX).
