North Carolina High School Football - Ashbrook can't hold off Kings Mountain

The Kings Mountain Mountaineers got by the visiting Ashbrook Greenwave football team by a score of 12-8 in Thursday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Mountaineers play the South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 16. Kings Mountain will attempt to improve on its 6-0 season record. The Red Raiders go into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 26-22 non-league win over Lexington Senior (Lexington, NC).

The Greenwave (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Forestview (Gastonia, NC). The Jaguars enter the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Forestview was edged by Huss (Gastonia, NC), 18-0, in a non-league challenge.
