October 9, 2025: Spring Lake, MI 49456 The Spring Lake Lakers football squad scored 21 points and limited the visiting Forest Hills Eastern Hawks to 18 in the Lakers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Lakers now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hamilton for a non-league test on Thursday, October 16. Spring Lake will meet a Hawkeyes squad coming off a 20-16 league loss to Christian (Grand Rapids, MI). The Hawkeyes record now stands at 0-6.
The Hawks (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against West Catholic (Grand Rapids, MI). The Falcons enter the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, West Catholic was edged by Wayland (Wayland, MI), 28-21, in a non-league challenge.
