South Carolina High School Football - Hillcrest can't hold off J.L. Mann
October 9, 2025: Greenville, SC 29607 J.L. Mann Patriots (Greenville, SC) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Hillcrest Rams (Simpsonville, SC), 20-14 in a non-league test.
The Patriots now hold a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to T.L. Hanna for a non-league test on Thursday, October 16. J.L. Mann will meet a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 47-24 non-league win over Woodmont (Piedmont, SC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 6-2.
With the defeat, Hillcrest drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Rams host Easley (Easley, SC) to play the Green Wave in a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 16. The Green Wave go into the challenge with a record of 5-0. Easley won 36-22 in their recent non-league challenge against Mauldin (Mauldin, SC)
