In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Independence Patriots soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves.

The Patriots (8-3) will now prepare for their outing against Monroe (Monroe, NC). The Redhawks go into the non-league outing with a 4-6 record. In their last outing, Monroe was edged by Forest Hills (Marshville, NC), 3-2, in a non-league outing.
