Oregon High School Soccer - St. Mary's knocks off Illinois Valley
October 9, 2025: Cave Junction, OR 97523 Fans at Thursday's league battle between the St. Mary's Crusaders (Medford, OR) and the host Illinois Valley Cougars (Cave Junction, OR), saw St. Mary's's soccer squad triumph over Illinois Valley by a count of 8-0.
The Crusaders (3-3) will now prepare for their match against North Valley (Grants Pass, OR). The Knights come into the 3A/2A/1A-SD5 Special District 5 match with a 7-2 record. In their last match, North Valley achieved victory over Rogue River (Rogue River, OR), 4-1, in a league match.
The Cougars now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Sutherlin for a non-league match on Monday, October 13. Illinois Valley will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 0-0 league Umpqua Valley Christian (Roseburg, OR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-4.
