Ballou Knights (Washington, DC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball team hold off the visiting McKinley Tech Trainers (Washington, DC), 2-1 in a league challenge.

The Knights (4-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Anacostia (Washington, DC). The Indians enter the DCIAA challenge with a 5-7 record. In their last challenge, Anacostia got by Bard (Washington, DC), 2-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Trainers meet the E.L. Haynes (Washington, DC) in a non-league test, on Friday, October 10. McKinley Tech will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The go into the test with a 14-2 record after their 2-0 league win over Girls Global Academy (Washington, DC).
