In Thursday's league challenge, the host Maret Frogs volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Madeira Snails.

The Frogs (4-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA). The Cardinals come into the non-league challenge with a 7-12 record. In their last challenge, Bishop Ireton lost by Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Snails face the Trinity at Meadow View Tempest (Falls Church, VA) in a VISAA Division 3 test, on Tuesday, October 14. Madeira will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Tempest go into the test with a 4-13 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Highland (Warrenton, VA).
