The Panther Creek Catamounts football team (Cary, NC), was tipped 42-35 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Apex Cougars (Apex, NC)

The Cougars (10-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Hillside (Durham, NC). The Hornets come into the non-league challenge with a 11-0 record. In their last challenge, Hillside nipped Hoke County (Raeford, NC), 49-18, in a non-league challenge.

The Catamounts now sport a 7-4 record.
