The Midway Panthers basketball team scored 41 points and held the host Ellison Eagles to 31 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Georgetown for a non-league contest on Monday, November 7. Midway will battle a Eagles team coming off a 50-27 non-league win over Johnson (Buda, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.

The Eagles (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against La Vega (Waco, TX). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record.
