New Mexico High School Volleyball - Los Alamos tips Pojoaque Valley
November 4, 2022: Pojoaque, NM 87506 In Friday's league contest, the Los Alamos Hilltoppers (Los Alamos, NM) volleyball squad nudged the host Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM), by a margin of 3-2.
With the loss, Pojoaque Valley moves to 17-3 on the year.
Match Summary
It was another battle between the Elkettes and the Toppers from Los Alamos. It was a back and forth match that saw the Toppers win the match and finish 7-1 in the District but fall short of their 5th District Championship on points as the Elkettes had beat LA in 4 sets earlier in the season. A phenomenal performance from Junior Setter Angelina Passalacqua was show cased this evening with 45 assists, 3 Kills, and an 82% dig percentage. Michelle Macias led the stable of hitters with 17 Kills and the back row led by Anna Kirkland and Shyanne Garcia had a solid night. The Toppers will get a couple days rest and see where the selection committee seeds them for the state tournament next week.
