Massachusetts High School Volleyball - Westwood over Masconomet Regional
November 6, 2024: Westwood, MA 02090 Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Westwood Wolverines (Westwood, MA) and the visiting Masconomet Regional Chieftains (Boxford, MA), observed Westwood's volleyball team top Masconomet Regional by a tally of 3-0.
The Wolverines (17-3) will now prepare for their contest against Hopkinton (Hopkinton, MA). The Hillers enter the Tri-Valley contest with a 18-4 record. In their last contest, Hopkinton beat Dartmouth (South Dartmouth, MA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.
Match Summary
The #12 seed Masconomet traveled to the #5 seed Westwood in Division 2 playoff volleyball on Wednesday night. The Chieftains dropped a tough match to the wolverines, losing in straight sets to the host school.
Middle hitters Cate Wettstone and Megan Brady led the Masco attack with 9 and 7 kills respectively. On the defensive side of the game, Chloe Lodewick led the way with 11 digs, followed by Alba Vranari with 8. Alba also chipped in 2 service aces of her own.
