The Valley Tigers football team scored 28 points and restricted the host Johnston Dragons to 21 in the Tigers non-league win on Friday.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Liberty Lightning (North Liberty, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, November 14. Valley will attempt to improve on its 9-2 season record. The Lightning go into the challenge with a 10-1 record after their 31-28 non-league win over Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA).

With the defeat, Johnston falls to 8-3 on the year.
