N.C. School for the Deaf Bears (Morganton, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host The Master's Academy Lions (Forest City, NC), 25-15 in a non-league bout.

With the win, N.C. School for the Deaf upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season.

Next up, the Lions play the Veritas Christian Academy Warriors (Arden, NC) in a bout, on Monday, November 14. The Master's Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 29-19 league loss to Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy (Asheville, NC).
