Fletcher Academy (Fletcher, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Georgia-Cumberland Academy Jaguars (Calhoun, GA), 73-62 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Fletcher Academy upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The travel to Asheville Trailblazers (Asheville, NC) to confront the Trailblazers in a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 9. The Trailblazers go into the contest with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Jaguars confront the Georgia Force Christian Blue Knights (Sugar Hill, GA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, November 10. Georgia-Cumberland Academy will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Blue Knights go into the contest with a 3-3 record after their 64-59 non-league loss to Northview (Johns Creek, GA).
