Buckeye Panthers (Buckeye, LA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Marksville Tigers (Marksville, LA), 30-8 in a league battle.

With the win, Buckeye improves its record to 6-3 on the season. The Panthers travel to Jena (Jena, LA) to play the Giants in a 3A District 2 battle on Friday, November 8. The Giants go into the battle with a record of 6-3. Jena won 50-14 in their recent league battle against Caldwell Parish (Columbia, LA)

The Tigers now have a 5-4 record. They play next when they host Bunkie for a 3A District 2 battle on Friday, November 8. Marksville will play a Panthers team coming off a 54-6 league win over Vidalia (Vidalia, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 9-0.
