In Friday's league game, the Elgin Wildcats (Elgin, TX) football team overcame the visiting Pflugerville Connally Cougars (Austin, TX), by a tally of 45-23.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Navarro Vikings (Austin, TX) in a 5A-2 Region III District 11 game, on Friday, November 8. Elgin will attempt to better on its 4-5 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 3-6 record after their 65-0 league loss to McCallum (Austin, TX).
