Connecticut High School Football - Fitch nips Windham

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Fitch Falcons (Groton, CT) and the host Windham Whippets (Willimantic, CT), witnessed Fitch's football squad edge Windham by a tally of 22-21.

The Falcons (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against New London (New London, CT). The Whalers go into the Eastern Connecticut I bout with a 4-3 record. In their last bout, New London nudged Ledyard (Ledyard, CT), 32-6, in a non-league bout.

The Whippets now own a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to Waterford for a Eastern Connecticut II bout on Friday, November 8. Windham will encounter a Lancers team coming off a 33-28 non-league win over Griswold (Griswold, CT). The Lancers record now stands at 7-0.
