November 1, 2024: Point Pleasant, WV 25550 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the John Marshall Monarchs (Glen Dale, WV) and the host Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV), witnessed John Marshall's football squad knock off Point Pleasant by a tally of 34-21.
The Monarchs (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV). The Patriots enter the Two Rivers contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Wheeling Park gained a win over Talawanda (Oxford, OH), 49-36, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Big Blacks clash with the Winfield Generals (Winfield, WV) in a non-league outing, on Friday, November 8. Point Pleasant will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Generals come into the outing with a 4-5 record after their 34-14 league loss to Scott (Madison, WV).
