In Friday's league match, the host Richlands Blue Tornado football squad scored a good 28-16 triumph over the Marion Scarlet Hurricanes.

The Blue Tornado (2-7) will now prepare for their match against Graham (Bluefield, VA). The G-Men come into the Southwest match with a 9-0 record. In their last match, Graham defeated Tazewell (Tazewell, VA), 46-0, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Scarlet Hurricanes confront the Virginia High Bearcats (Bristol, VA) in a Southwest match, on Friday, November 8. Marion will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Bearcats come into the match with a 6-3 record after their 43-0 non-league win over John Marshall (Richmond, VA).
