Connecticut High School Football - Forman thwarted by Pomfret School
November 1, 2025: Litchfield, CT 06759 Pomfret School Griffins (Pomfret, CT) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Forman Lions (Litchfield, CT), 48-26 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Pomfret School improves its record to 1-5 on the campaign. The Griffins travel to Frederick Gunn (Washington, CT) to face the Highlanders in a NEPSAC 8-Man (8 Man) game on Saturday, November 8. The Highlanders enter the game with a record of 5-1. Frederick Gunn won 67-20 in their recent league game against Harvey (Katonah, NY)
The Lions (0-4) will now prepare for their game against Hebron Academy (Hebron, ME). The Lumberjacks enter the non-league game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Hebron Academy fell by Holderness (Plymouth, NH), 48-0, in a league game.
