Rapides Mustangs (Lecompte, LA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Lacassine Cardinals (Lacassine, LA), 79-66 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rapides upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Episcopal of Acadiana (Cade, LA) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 12. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 2-2. Episcopal of Acadiana lost 60-49 in their recent non-league bout against St. Joseph's - Plaucheville (Plaucheville, LA)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Christ Episcopal School Wildcats (Covington, LA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 12. Lacassine will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
