November 10, 2022: , Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Varsity Opponent (, ) and the visiting Hillcrest Christian Cougars (Jackson, MS), saw Varsity Opponent's basketball squad hold off Hillcrest Christian by a tally of 34-33.
With the victory, Varsity Opponent improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The travel to Hillcrest Christian (Jackson, MS) to play the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 9. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 1-2.
