In Friday's non-league game, the New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC) football team knocked off the visiting New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC), by a score of 36-15.

The Bears (6-6) will now prepare for their game against Cleveland (Clayton, NC). The Rams come into the non-league game with a 12-0 record. In their last game, Cleveland toppled Leesville Road (Raleigh, NC), 49-21, in a non-league game.
