McAllen Bulldogs (McAllen, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds (Brownsville, TX), 38-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McAllen upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Pieper (San Antonio, TX) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, November 10. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 4-0. Pieper won 56-13 in their recent non-league bout against La Joya (La Joya, TX)

Next up, the Bloodhounds clash with the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders (Pharr, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 11. St. Joseph Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 43-42 non-league win over La Feria (La Feria, TX).
