Fountain Central Mustangs (Veedersburg, IN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Southmont Mounties (Crawfordsville, IN), 50-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Fountain Central upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Crawfordsville (Crawfordsville, IN) to play the Athenians in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 16. The Athenians come into the bout with a record of 0-3. Crawfordsville lost 67-23 in their recent league bout against Tri-West Hendricks (Lizton, IN)

Next up, the Mounties play the North Putnam Cougars (Roachdale, IN) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, November 24. Southmont will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
