The Wheatley Wildcats basketball team scored 96 points and held the visiting Sterling Raiders to 84 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Wildcats now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Furr for a 4A Region III District 21 contest on Tuesday, November 14.

The Raiders (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Clear Falls (League City, TX). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Clear Falls was defeated by Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men (Houston, TX), 64-42, in a non-league contest.
