Alabama High School Basketball - Grissom thwarts Austin
November 11, 2024: Huntsville, AL 35802 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Grissom Tigers (Huntsville, AL) and the visiting Austin Black Bears (Decatur, AL), observed Grissom's basketball team knock off Austin by a score of 46-36.
The Tigers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Mae Jemison (Huntsville, AL). The Jaguars come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Mae Jemison was knocked off by Pisgah (Pisgah, AL), 61-39, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Black Bears encounter the Gardendale Rockets (Gardendale, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, November 15. Austin will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 74-37 non-league loss to Pleasant Grove (Pleasant Grove, AL).
