Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Fort Bend Kempner Cougars (Sugar Land, TX) and the visiting Alief Taylor Lions (Houston, TX), saw Fort Bend Kempner's basketball squad overcome Alief Taylor by a tally of 60-52.

With the victory, Fort Bend Kempner improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Cougars host Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX) to confront the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, November 18. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Hardin-Jefferson won 68-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Kelly Catholic (Beaumont, TX)

Next up, the Lions confront the Magnolia West Mustangs (Magnolia, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, November 16. Alief Taylor will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
