The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Lake Lure Classical Academy Raptors (Lake Lure, NC) and the visiting Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles (Shelby, NC), observed Lake Lure Classical Academy's basketball team knock off Pinnacle Classical Academy by a score of 48-29.

The Raptors (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Community Christian Academy (Bessemer City, NC). The Warriors come into the Western Piedmont challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Community Christian Academy prevailed over Haywood Christian Academy (Waynesville, NC), 62-32, in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Christian Family Academy for a Western Piedmont battle on Friday, November 14. Pinnacle Classical Academy will meet a Fire squad coming off a 73-33 non-league win over Heritage Christian (Hudson, NC). The Fire record now stands at 1-0.
