Blue Mountain Cougars (Blue Mountain, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Myrtle Hawks (Myrtle, MS), 75-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Blue Mountain upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Cougars host Hickory Flat (Hickory Flat, MS) to clash with the Rebels in a 1A Region 3 bout on Thursday, November 16. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Hickory Flat won 86-50 in their recent non-league bout against Jumpertown (Booneville, MS)

Next up, the Hawks clash with the Mantachie Mustangs (Mantachie, MS) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 16. Myrtle will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 44-41 non-league win over Mooreville (Mooreville, MS).
